Concerning facts about Doggedly and its members

Disturbing number of dogs

Doggedly has at least 50 dogs either in boarding, the executive director's home, or otherwise unaccounted for. Some of these dogs have been with her since 2015 and beyond.

How many is too many?

Shady adoption policies

Doggedly frequently pulls and adopts out puppies for exorbitant amounts including a French Bulldog who was surrendered by a breeder - they charged $2,500 for her. Where does this money go?

Distressing lengths of stay

Many of the Doggedly dogs have been in Barbara's care for years, going back several rescues. At first thought, that may seem noble but what kind of quality of life do these dogs have? Camille, Waffles, Sweet Pea, Benny and June have lost 6+ years of their lives living in crates and kennel runs surrounded by several other distressed dogs.

The average life span of a Bull breed type dog is 12-14 years, this is nearly HALF of their lives. This is like being in prison until you're 40+ years old after committing no crimes.

The forgotten dogs

Lack of proper vet care

We have multiple reports of dogs in foster homes where the fosters noticed the dogs were ill and Barbara wouldn't allow fosters to seek vet care, instead taking the dog back to her home and adopting them out. This is on top of multiple screen shots where the director admits to not getting dogs care.

Lies and deception

Doggedly frequently lies to adopters and fosters about dogs medical and behavioral issues, and then shames them when something goes wrong.

Terrible transports

Last minute, vaccines done too late to actually work, lack of preparation and poor communication from the director to the drivers on transports as well as a broken down vehicle and inability to pay drivers on time, after they paid hundreds of dollars each trip out of their own pocket to keep the trip going when the rescue wouldn't send gas money or hotel money.

Dark History

Doggedly's executive director has a disturbing past with several rescues that all have chillingly similar stories. This person came in to their rescues, pulled way too many dogs, and when confronted attempted to slander and defame everyone connected to the rescue, often causing a compete closure or serious PR issue.

Puppies and PRs (completely destroyed this rescue, and the other two founders)

Hot Mess Pooches (accused the director of hoarding, while she herself has the same practices)

A Chance to Bloom Rescue (accused the director of misappropriation of funds and hoarding - when most of the dogs in that program came from her and showed little to no proof)

Doggedly Dog Rescue Society - Her newest rescue, that pulled every A Chance to Bloom dog - many of those dogs are still sitting in a boarding facility or her house without ever having been networked, some have even died.

But I adopted a dog from Doggedly…

Doggedly does adopt out dogs. They regularly send a transport van full of dogs to the Pacific Northwest. However, most of these adoptions are new intake dogs. Highly adoptable, high dollar adoption fee dogs. As a collective, we are extremely happy for those dogs. But believe ALL the dogs deserve this chance.
