These are are the faces of the dogs that are known to have died under the care of Barbara/Doggedly Dog Rescue Society.
Some of the dogs pictured were in Barbara’s care prior to her starting Doggedly and even prior to A Chance To Bloom. The rescue Barbara ran and “exposed” prior to starting Doggedly.
Hoss - saved from a trash can, went to ACTB, was pulled from a foster after he ate a rope toy. Left in boarding high HW positive. Died in the boarding facility, found dead by staff after coughing up blood and worms. RIP Hoss. You mattered.
HSPCA cruelty seizure after his owner shot off one of his front legs, went to ACTB, was pulled by Doggedly, left in boarding until he ended up needing to be EU - no exact cause given. RIP Brisco - I'm sorry your entire life was horrible and you never knew what it was like to be loved.
Euthanized for health reasons without ever finding a home. RIP Venus, we don't know much about, which is a tragedy in and of itself, you but you seemed like a sweet silly dog who deserved a family to love them.
"abandon in boarding by ACTB" then left there by Doggedly until he died. Found dead by staff. RIP Porkchop, so many people loved and fought for you but it wasn't enough to save you from Barb.
Pulled by Ryan's Rescue in 2017, Barb was the foster, she was then transferred to AJL, then to ACTB, finally to Doggedly where she lived in Barb's house in a crate most of each day until she died in late 2020. RIP Luna you were a hell of a fighter girl, you should have gotten a chance at a new life.
Barb renamed him Hammy - essentially left in a crate with severe medical issues that caused constant diarrhea, placed in boarding in 2019 during Barb's HSPCA inspection - after 4 days there became ill, came back to Barb and was euthanized shortly after. RIP Quincy. So many people loved and fought for you but you were hoarded by selfish individuals.
With a foster and returned for putting someone in the hospital according to Barb. Had severe CHF and should have been humanely euthanized (per Barb) but ended up staying with her until he collapsed on the floor in Barb's house and died at/on the way to the vet later that day. RIP Panda - you didn't deserve to be a prisoner.
